I’ve found when blogging that it is like dieting, I do it every now and then and find I have little or no success. I just forget!
Those of you who know and tolerate me will know that over the last 6-7 months I’ve had a hand in the social media for the Central Midlands League, adding a few new ideas to the mix and steadily drawing in 700 new followers to the twitter account. We are at 150% of what we had in May 2017. Give it a follow, it’s regularly updated and sometimes factual.
This new role has left me with little time to watch Heanor Town FC, the club I love. I’ve been doing the rounds with mobile phone in hand, accosting and interviewing managers of CMFL clubs. I’ve been waiting patiently for someone to get involved with video skills, all I will say is watch this space!
So far in January I’ve seen 15 games. One of them went to extra time. That is 23 hours of football in 30 days, meaning that as long as the South Normanton v Hucknall Town game goes ahead on Wednesday then I will have seen over a day of football in the 31 days of January. Excessive? Maybe!
I’ve got a plan to get around all the CMFL ground I’ve not yet visited before the end of the season, I’ve got dates in the diary for all but Welbeck, but I believe I’ll be seeing them three times away from home in the coming months!
I can’t wait to get back to blogging, I hope you’ll stick around and read it!
